Evaluating Community Activities (1)
If your online community assignment is successful, what will “success” look like in terms of people, interactions, activities, and outcomes? How can I measure this success? You have analysed the e-community well. Site seems user friendly. It is bit difficult to try to apply or imply learning theories on such diverse communities. It is just like imposing or supposing that picaso was useing .. this or that learning theory
I agree bite sized chunks of info work better with ESL learners. Guided learning work better…[Read more]-
Hey Melvin , Thankyou for your email , If we are delivering e learning to all age groups and year levels , did you read this link ? Definitely not for primary school, as the minimum age for sign-up is 13. Plus, it’s my social life, and I don’t really want to share that with my students. If this medium of education/communication is required, I am…[Read more]

Facilitating Online Communities: 1 year, 1 month agoHey All , At first glance of the flashkit com Website, the new user is completely overwhelmed with choices—utter information overload. Fortunately for flashkit , it is the functionality of the site is more important to the user than the design. Facilitating Online Communities: 1 year, 2 months agoBeen having a good look at the links re arts online , Paul – it is certainly a comprehensive resource and appears to be reasonably active in its discussion groups. Don t know if Cognition or the MOE is doing any research into how the site is being used? There is a huge bank of units there which would be a goldmine for the busy teacher, for…[Read more]

I suggest you be clear about what is the community and what is not – remember that a website is not a community so unless the unit bank is integrated with the community it can’t really be seen as part of the community.
Can you please post an update on your choice to this group’s forum too so we have everything in one place?
Many thanks…
