Hey Lorraine , Just had a look at your blog and assignment well done , ” One limitation of the site is the way it is visually presented. For example, the font is very small and can be off putting at first look ”

    * Obscure: If visitors are presented with type too small to read comfortably, they’ll go elsewhere. Use 12- point type in preference to 10-point or smaller for the actual content and a bigger point size for headings. Avoid capitalising full words, phrases or sentences as this also impedes legibility and is bad online etiquette

Heres a quote I found about fonts used in webpage designs , This quote also applied to my critique , again well done !!

Hi Lorraine, good feedback on ‘Flashkit’, this is actually one of the sites that I use to find information on Flash programming. The ability to customise the information is very important as there is a multitude of topics and sometimes can be daunting to find information quickly.

Hey All , At first glance of the flashkit com Website, the new user is completely overwhelmed with choices—utter information overload. Fortunately for flashkit , it is the functionality of the site is more important to the user than the design. Someone unfamiliar with the Internet would probably be distracted by all of the information thrown in his or her face, but most users go to the site with an idea of what they are looking for, and they can usually find it successfully.

True true John, that’s why I didn’t explore it when I first found it, it was all a bit overwhelming. Like Chris says they have done well giving customised options to organise the information, it becomes much easier once started. Thanks both for your feedback and comments.

Anyone else going to post a draft??

Hi Lorraine, all I can say is wow, it looks great. I have been trying to do mine as a group of pages that doesn’t require a lot of scrolling. It actually never occurred to me to do it like an assignment (even though it is one). I like how it looks, the colours are user friendly and it is easy to read.
