Rubaiyat

A WordPress plugin which displays a random verse from the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam on admin pages. The plugin incorporates text from Edward FitzGerald’s translation (source: Gutenberg project) and is based on the Hello Dolly plugin distributed with WordPress.

Not very useful, but it’s my first WordPress plugin :-) And you too may like a gentle reminder of your mortality while administering your WordPress site. It works with WordPress 2.5.1 but should work with other recent versions.

Scotch proverbs

Similar to the above, this plugin displays a random proverb from a collection of over 800 first published in 1663. (Source: Gutenberg project).
